Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) has invested $45,000 to support students enrolled in San José City College’s Trades Orientation Program (TOP), a workforce pilot developed in partnership with Working Partnerships USA (WPUSA).
The program prepares students for careers in the electrification workforce, providing training and pathways into registered apprenticeships in the building trades.
SVCE’s funding supports students who live in unincorporated areas and jurisdictions served by Silicon Valley Clean Energy within Santa Clara County, helping expand access to workforce training opportunities across the region.
By supporting this specialized cohort, Silicon Valley Clean Energy is helping strengthen the regional pipeline of skilled workers needed to advance building electrification while opening pathways to high-demand careers for local residents.
