Giving to the Foundation is straightforward — and every contribution makes a difference. Whether you want to make a one-time gift, set up recurring support, or explore long-term giving options, we’ll help you find the approach that works best for you.

Ways to Give

Online Giving

Make a secure gift in just a few minutes through our online giving portal.

Donors may direct their gift to the area that matters most to them. During checkout, you can select:

A specific college (San José City College or Evergreen Valley College)
A program or department
A scholarship or designated fund
The Foundation’s general support fund

Our online form allows you to make a one-time contribution quickly and securely using a credit card or electronic payment.

Monthly Giving

Monthly giving is an easy way to provide steady, reliable support for students and programs throughout the year.

Recurring gifts help the Foundation plan ahead and sustain opportunities that make a lasting difference.

To become a monthly donor:

Use our online giving form.
Select your gift designation.
Choose the recurring gift option.
Select your preferred monthly amount.

Your gift will automatically process each month, and you may update or cancel your recurring donation at any time.

We welcome gifts by check. To contribute, please make your check payable to SJECCD Foundation and mail it to:

If you would like your gift to support a specific scholarship, program, or campus, please note it in the memo line. Every contribution helps expand opportunity and access for our students.

Employee Payroll Deduction

SJECCD faculty and staff can support students through convenient payroll deduction giving.

This option allows employees to make automatic charitable contributions directly from their paycheck, providing consistent support to programs, scholarships, or funds across the District.

In-Kind Donations

In-kind gifts valued at $500 or more require approval by the SJECCD Board of Trustees before they can be accepted. To begin, please connect with the campus program or department you wish to support. A campus representative will submit an in-kind donation request to the Foundation for Board review. Once approved, we will notify both the campus and the donor to coordinate delivery.

The Foundation will issue a formal acknowledgment and tax-deductible receipt. If you are unsure who to contact, please email foundation@sjeccd.edu, and we will assist you.

Planned Giving

Planned gifts allow you to create a lasting legacy while supporting future generations of students.

You may include the Foundation in your:

Will or living trust
Retirement account beneficiary designation
Estate or legacy plans

Gifts of Stock or Securities

Donating appreciated stock or securities can be a tax-efficient way to support student success while potentially avoiding capital gains taxes.

The Foundation can accept transfers of publicly traded securities through our brokerage account.

We will provide step-by-step guidance to ensure your gift is completed smoothly.

Endowment Gifts

Endowments create permanent, lasting support for students and programs.

Endowed funds are invested to generate annual income, allowing your generosity to benefit the college community for generations to come.

Minimum to establish an endowment: $25,000
Donors may create named endowments supporting scholarships, programs, or priority initiatives.

Tribute and Memorial Gifts

Honor or remember someone special by making a tribute or memorial gift.
